- Find your focus by pausing for a moment, reflecting on what needs to be done and finding the best and most fruitful course of action [Like Undo send of GMAIL-5 seconds.
- Marathon runners gain endurance by breaking their week into 4 days of short runs, one day of a long run and two days of rest => Take the important first step and pause.
- A simple way to narrow your options is to focus your attention on the things you are good at and work toward those talents and strengths => Focus on 5 things.
- It can take a lot of time to master something or perfect a certain skill, so it's wise to turn your attention to something about which you are passionate.
- Avoid 2 pitfalls: Give up after a failure or misstep & uncertainty about the future.
+ Look at a failure as a chance to learn from your mistakes and make improvements.
+ It's better to focus on the present and creating your opportunities.
- 18 minutes rituals:
+ 5 minutes in the morning to go over your plan for the day => "ignore list" of things to avoid & don't postpone things for more than 3 days.
+ 1 minute pause every 1 hour during the day => 8 minutes of pausing.
+ 5 minutes at the end of the day to review
